In this up close butterfly painting, I had fun experimenting with depth perception. The variegated leaves and butterfly take on a realistic feel as I created a hard edge on the leaves and subject in the foreground, while softening the edges of the plant in the background.
About Renee Noel
Renée G. Noël Paintings, LLC. Renée has deep roots in the arts. She was raised in Southern California in a family that regularly supported and participated in the visual and performing arts. Her love of the arts, and the outdoors were evident at an early age. Much of her childhood was spent dancing, singing, camping, drawing, acting and exploring local art museums in the greater Los Angeles area. It was inevitable that she was to be a “creative.” Through perseverance, and her artistic endeavors she earned recognition, monetary awards and grants, which funded her college education.
